The Loppet

February 6, 2010 by keithppp

Today Trycia, Roxy and I went to the Loppet at Lake of the Isles.  We watched the Skijoring which was so much fun to see.  I would love to see if Roxy would do it.  For those of you that don’t know what Skijoring is, I made a quick video.  While we were there, we saw Roxy’s younger brother Charlie.  They played for a few minutes, then we joined up with Roxy’s Bff (Bindi and her family) and went to look at the snow sculptures.  It was a great time and the weather was great!

Have a great weekend, and make sure to check out the Twin Cites Puppy Bowl.

The Puppy Bowl

February 3, 2010 by keithppp

Today we had so many puppies at doggy daycare!  Lilly and Maggie are best friends, they are always near one another and today they spent the day hanging out in the “Zen Den”.

Speaking of puppies, the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl is now online.  I worked hard editing the video, so I hope you enjoy watching it!

Have a great night.

Halloween in February??!!

February 1, 2010 by keithppp

Trycia and I both LOVE Target and when they reached out to us for help we said YES!!  They are working on ordering Halloween costumes and wanted to work on sizing. They wanted to come in and see how the costumes fit on some of our dogs.  We are not able to tell you some of the really cool new costumes they will have for Halloween, but they are SWEET!!  Yes, they are finally going to have big dog costumes that are actually for big dogs!  We brought out about 15 of our most behaved daycare dogs, so they could try the costumes on to see how they fit.  Roxy, was a big fan of the pumpkin costume from last year!

Have a great night!

Lobster and Benson

January 31, 2010 by keithppp

Today I was in the Waggers Way dog daycare room for a few hours and I caught Benson (French Bulldog) and Lobster (Golden Retriever) taking a quick nap next to eachother.  The nap lasted about 4 minutes, but it was still really cute!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Make sure your reservations are in, some days this week are close to full!

One impressive pooch

January 28, 2010 by keithppp

Ellie the beagle who is a regular dog daycare dog, has been spending the past few nights checked into our hotel.  Ellie has her trademark of wearing a bandanna everyday, and her mom sent her with a new bandanna for each day of her stay.  Today we caught her napping on the couch!

Trycia and I saw this on the KARE 11 news tonight and were impressed with this dog. Click here to watch the video of what I am talking about.  Enjoy!

Whose ball is it!

January 26, 2010 by keithppp

Today in the “Zen Den”, Alex, one of our staff members took this picture of Cosi (french bulldog) and Brandi (black lab) playing with the ball. Who said that big and small dogs can’t get along??!!?? On another note, we are thinking about renaming the “Zen Den”, becuse the name makes it sound like none of the dogs play.  In reality the “Zen Den” is very lively and the only room that we bring out toys and balls.   We don’t use toys in the other rooms during doggy daycare because of the possession problems that are created over toys, and honestly we don’t want to be breaking up fights all day over balls.  So sometimes we will put the dogs that we know enjoy playing with balls and toys into the “Zen Den”  where they can play with them.  Both Cosi and Brandi had a great time in there today.

Sorry to cut this short, but I have been editing video for the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl and my eyes are tired of looking at the computer screen.

Have a good night.

Trevor the black labYou often hear about us talking about our Pet Haven dogs that we foster at Pampered Pooch Playground. Today we got some really good news that our last foster dog, Trevor, just got adopted! We are so excited for him and his new home. You can read more about Trevor on the Pet Haven Blog.   Trevor was also featured in the Pet Haven fall benefit!

Now, we are working on finding Pepper, our current foster dog a home!  Many of you might have gotten to meet pepper, he loves to hang out in our employees break room, and loves to watch people come in the lobby!  You can also read more about Pepper here.

The Twin Cities Puppy Bowl

January 25, 2010 by keithppp

You might have heard us talking about the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl which is a group effort between PPP, Sarah Beth Photography, Sidewalk Dog and Fetch Delivers.  The concept is simple, reach out to local dog rescues and features puppies that are up for adoption.  This past Saturday, we shot the video for the puppy bowl and the full length version will be out next Monday (2/1/10).  Until then, enjoy this quick promo that I put together.  You can visit the Twin Cities Puppy Bowl website at anytime.

Roxy the puppy

roxy the bernese mountain dog puppyRemember how important it is to backup your files on your computer?  Well today, I spent a good hour looking for a video of the first day when we got Roxy (4 years ago).  I know the video is on one of my hard drives, but I am not sure where.  I never delete any files, so I know it is somewhere.  Anyway, I  found this picture of Roxy 2 days after we brought her home from our breeder.  How cute!  Now she is 85 pounds, but still loves to lay on the couch!

Have a good night!

Lily and George take a nap!

January 19, 2010 by keithppp

dog daycare nap timeEllen, one of our staff members captured a great picture of Lily (the puppy) and George taking a nap today during dog daycare!  Everyone always asks if our group nap time works, and it is great!  The dogs really enjoy our laid back nap times, and I think this picture proves it :)

Have a great night!
