The PPP staff is a very tight family and we try to support them in any way we can. Jordan, who is one of our ex-employees is doing something pretty cool. We caught up with him while we were walking around Lake Harriet last weekend. He is walking from Minneapolis to Miami to raise money for Haiti. Many of the PPP crew plan to join him on the first few miles of his journey, and we will keep in touch with him on the way. He was just featured on the FOX 9 news. Take a look at his interview. Every Tuesday, Wenzday comes to doggy daycare and I always think it would be really for her to come on Wednesdays. I know, lame joke, but that is really what goes through my head. Today, I had some fun moving one of the webcams in the Zen Den. Hopefully you can see more of the room, and the heated beds that the dogs enjoy laying on!

Say hello to Chester, a White German Shepard. Chester is a big fan of doggy daycare and enjoys hanging out in the Ruff House while at dog daycare.
Last night we took our staff to Muddy Paws Cheesecake (Tami, one of our groomers owns it), for a fun night out. Everyone got to make their own cheese cake. Just wait until you heard what flavor I made. I will tell you if it was any good after I taste it tomorrow. It was a fun time and all of our staff really enjoyed it!
This past week we got a new delivery of clothing from Barkology from their spring catalog! Some of the older items are on “sale” for 30% off.
Speaking of spring, today was a beautiful day to enjoy being outside. We went around Lake Calhoun with Roxy and her best friend Bindi (and her parents). Both dogs LOVE the snow, and they will be really sad to see it go.
One final note. My good friend Staci Matthews who hosts the afternoon show on KS95, just released a cool new book called Girlz In White Dresses. Basically it is girls wearing wedding dresses in crazy places. Many of my friends are featured in it (and if you look carefully you will see me in the background).

Fozzie has been boarding in our hotel and he will be surprised tomorrow when he goes home to a new family member! He has been staying with us because fozzy’s owner is delivering a baby!!! Fozzy’s dad emailed us today and said everything went well, and Fozzy gets to go home tomorrow. He will be so excited!!
I spent the afternoon painting our office! Our office was originally in what is now the training room. When we removed the walls to make the training room, we needed a place for our office, so we picked a small room right behind the lobby and next to the big dog play area. The walls were not pretty, but it did the job and it was a place to put our desk. Well, we decided that it needed a fresh coat of paint and a new floor. So I am doing all the work this week.

Luna has been spending the night in our hotel and today she was was hanging out in the Zen Den. Luna does great in all of the rooms, but really wanted to rest and relax today. Speaking of the Zen Den, look for one of the webcams to be moved tomorrow so you can see more of the room.
Many of you were asking how Roxy did on her Canine Good Citizen test at the Animal Humane Society last night. She passed with flying colors and we are so proud of her! Next, we start her therapy dog training in a few weeks!
Today, we sent all of our managers and Trycia to a training seminar on first aid, CPR and kennel management. So while they were away, I was at the daycare holding everything down. Sundays are so much fun at the PPP because they are so laid back and the dogs LOVE it!! Frankie was one of the hotel guests who has been staying over. All of the dogs, and our staff are very excited for the warmer weather!
Tomorrow is a big night for Roxy! She is going to take her Canine Good Citizen test. I know she will do great!
Can you tell which Miniature Pincher is Bruno and which one is Cyrus? Cyrus is on the left and Bruno is on the right. Bruno has been taking private training lessons with Heather, and Cyrus belongs to Melissa, one of our employees. Bruno was one of the reasons that Melissa wanted to get a Miniature Pincher!! Both dogs enjoy going to doggy daycare and hanging out together!! Bruno can normally be seen wearing a black sweater/turtle neck and Cyrus loves to wear his “referee shirt”.
